چکیده

This paper is devoted to sequential decision making with Rank Dependent expected Utility (RDU). criterion generalizes Expected and enables model a wider range of observed (rational) behaviors. In such setting, two conflicting objectives can be identified in the assessment strategy: maximizing performance viewed from initial state (optimality), minimizing incentive deviate during implementation (deviation-proofness). this paper, we propose minimax regret approach taking these aspects into account, provide search procedure determine an optimal strategy for model. Numerical results are presented show interest proposed terms optimality, deviation-proofness computability.

Sequential Decision Making with Rank Dependent Utility: A Minimax Regret Approach

This paper is devoted to sequential decision making with Rank Dependent expected Utility (RDU). Incremental Utility Elicitation with the Minimax Regret Decision Criterion

Utility elicitation is a critical function of any automated decision aid, allowing decisions to be tailored to the preferences of a specific user. However, the size and complexity of utility functions often precludes full elicitation, requiring that decisions be made without full utility information. Adopting the minimax regret criterion for decision making with incomplete utility information, ...

Minimax Regret Approaches for Preference Elicitation with Rank-Dependent Aggregators

Recently there has been a growing interest in non-linear aggregation models to represent the preferences of a decision maker in a multicriteria decision problem. Such models are expressive as they are able to represent synergies (positive and negative) between attributes or criteria, thus modeling different decision behaviors. They also make it possible to generate Pareto-optimal solutions that...

Sequential Decision Making with Adaptive Utility

Decision making with adaptive utility provides a generalisation to classical Bayesian decision theory, allowing the creation of a normative theory for decision selection when preferences are initially uncertain. The theory of adaptive utility was introduced by Cyert & DeGroot [27], but had since received little attention or development. In particular, foundational issues had not been explored a...

Minimizing Maximum Regret in Commitment Constrained Sequential Decision Making

In cooperative multiagent planning, it can often be beneficial for an agent to make commitments about aspects of its behavior to others, allowing them in turn to plan their own behaviors without taking the agent’s detailed behavior into account. Extending previous work in the Bayesian setting, we consider instead a worst-case setting in which the agent has a set of possible environments (MDPs) ...
